What is Live Regardless

You don’t need the world judging you to know you’re not perfect. We all struggle, and we all fall short. I’d be a hypocrite to claim that my faith somehow makes me more righteous than someone who doesn’t believe. So judgment isn’t my thing.

Why? Because life hasn’t been easy.

It’s been a long and sometimes frustrating road to get this far. Through those struggles, God has allowed me to experience many of the same battles others face. Because of that, I understand how real life can be and why learning to Live Regardless matters.

to Live regardless of your past, regardless of your fears and regardless of the uncertainty of your future.

When I finally took the leap and asked Christ into my life, I found myself wrestling with all kinds of emotional, moral, mental and physical struggles. Frustrated and overwhelmed, I wrote to a dear old friend of mine—a senior in the Salvation Army—pouring out my worldly struggles in detail.

A short time later I received a note back. It was just a small Post-it, with three words scribbled on it:

“Mike, Live Regardless.”

Is that it, I thought? Was that supposed to help? Those words were hardly comforting, more like an easy way out of a tough conversation.

But over time, through perseverance and not simply giving up, I began to understand what it meant. I had read in one of Paul’s letters to the church in Philippi, “to live is Christ.”

Along with that and many other scriptures I realised that life was no longer about living for myself, which was the very thing that had gotten me into mess in the first place, but about living for Jesus Christ. And I was determined to do it regardless.

Through practicing what I call “Living Regardless,” I slowly began surrendering my life to God’s will. It took time, and it took work, but eventually I found joy and contentment without the harmful crutches I once depended on. I discovered real purpose and meaning in my life—and more than that, genuine hope.

Jesus tells us that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
So He calls us to “Live”
