In my 50 years on this planet, there’s not much I haven’t experienced. Honestly, hit me up, you might be surprised. But the biggest surprise of all is that most of it happened after I met Jesus Christ. And when I say “met Jesus,” I mean I literally met Him. No joke. It was on one very desperate and hopeless stormy night in 2007, and I’ve been arguing with Him ever since!

Honestly, you’d think that after such a supernatural encounter, I got my life together and became an absolute spirit driven success.

Ummmm… nope.

I still had a lot to learn, much to go through. And although God didn’t cause the bad things that happened, or make me choose the terrible decisions I made, He’s always been there protecting me, …..and mostly from myself.

He never left me, even in the times I turned my back on Him, I hated Him, I cursed Him out. I gave up on Him time and time again, but He never gave up on me, not even once.

Now, as I turn 50 years and have finally stopped thrashing around like a fish out of water God has given me an important task. He placed in me long ago a deep desire to encourage and support others, a genuine, real drive to reach those who feel overlooked, unloved, and unforgivable, much like how I had felt for many years.

The Holy Spirit tugs at my heart every time I meet someone hiding behind that worn-out mask of toughness. You know the one. The mask you’ve spent years perfecting so you can walk through this world without completely collapsing, without letting anyone catch the scent of your fear or your hurt. Because you know what happens the moment they do. The sharks circle. And the cruel irony is that the people circling you are wearing their own cheap shark masks too, terrified that someone might see through theirs.

oh and Just so you know: Jesus has seen behind your mask from the beginning.

Here’s the part that’s hard to swallow. God loved you before anyone else ever spoke your name. He loved you when He knitted you together in the womb, long before you learned to hide. What you’re living now—this constant survival mode, this fear, this rehearsed toughness, this was never His plan for you. Sooner or later you’ll realize that. And God, in His unending patience, waits for that moment. He waits for you to see how the victim mindset you’ve been carrying has become part of the mask itself, another layer meant to protect you but really only trapping you.

It took me almost a lifetime to see my own mask for what it was. But the moment I finally tore it off and surrendered to God, everything shifted. He reached into that dark, stale place I thought I deserved to live in. He pulled me out of my delusion of unforgiveness and uselessness. And then He shaped me into something He could actually wield. A sword against our shared enemy. A working tool to help build His Kingdom. That’s where I finally found real life and real meaning.

And He wants that same awakening for you. He really does, you are not beyond saving. You can only be beyond Gods grace if you think you are greater then God Himself! The very one who created you.

Most people don’t realise that in God they have real hope and purpose. But they’ve believed the lies of the enemy for so long that they think God no longer cares, that they’re beyond saving. I’ve always had a true empathy for those who struggle, and I hear God calling me to tell you that you are truly loved. With Him, you can overcome and accomplish anything within His will for you — including happiness, contentment, joy, and peace.
