How do I know if God is speaking to me?

What should I be looking or waiting for?

How long are you going to fight this on your own?

Do you think by never telling anyone and simply praying and begging for forgiveness every time you fail, you can somehow correct this? Will it eventually just go away?

It won’t, ok…it wont, in fact you’ve got this for the rest of your life, it can’t be undone. But what can be undone is how you look at it, how you see it and how you deal with it. Jesus offers you a better way to break free from these bonds of self-hatred and shame, so you can finally be free to love and worship Him without boundaries and with your whole heart.

Am I really that different from you?

This is just a glimpse into my story. Our battles against sin and our common enemy are more alike than you think. Looking back, I see God at work — especially when I felt abandoned. Everything has shaped me and drawn me closer to Jesus. I love and worship Him deeply. If life had been easy, would I have this joy, hope and purpose today?

God never helped me. If God was real, he wouldn’t have…..

It’s too late for me. There’s no forgiveness for me.

If I walked into a church I’d probably catch on fire.

God wouldn’t want someone like me. He wont forgive me for what I’ve done.

“Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves… For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.” (Matthew 16:24–25)

This is the hard but life saving truth of fully surrendering to God and few can handle it, which is why the rocky path is through the narrow gate.
